Hola, iam Albert Larez, Don’t work too hard.

Whoa, who knew that drinking decaf could raise your blood pressure? Turns out, it’s true! Studies have shown that drinking decaf can actually increase your blood pressure. Crazy, right? So if you’re trying to keep your BP in check, you might want to think twice before reaching for that cup of joe.

Does Decaf Raise Blood Pressure? [Solved]

Well, our findings show that if you drink five cups of decaf a day instead of regular coffee, your blood pressure will go down a bit and your heart rate will go up. It’s true for both men and women who don’t have high blood pressure.

  1. Caffeine is a stimulant that can increase blood pressure: Caffeine is a stimulant found in coffee, tea, and other beverages that can cause an increase in blood pressure when consumed in large amounts.

  2. Decaf coffee still contains some caffeine: Even though decaf coffee has had most of the caffeine removed, it still contains small amounts of the stimulant which can contribute to an increase in blood pressure.

  3. High doses of decaf may raise blood pressure: Studies have shown that consuming high doses of decaf coffee (more than 4 cups per day) may lead to an increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure levels.

  4. Other factors may also contribute to increased BP: In addition to caffeine consumption, other factors such as stress, lack of exercise, poor diet, smoking and alcohol consumption can all contribute to higher levels of blood pressure.

Drinking decaf can raise your blood pressure - who knew? It’s true though; studies have shown that caffeine-free coffee can still increase your BP. So if you’re trying to keep it low, you might want to skip the decaf. Yikes!
