But that’s not an option right now - gotta power through! Hopefully this fever will break soon; in the meantime, I’ll just have to take it easy and keep my fingers crossed.

Does Covid Run A Low-Grade Fever? [Solved]

Well, if you’ve had COVID-19 and you’re still getting a fever, that’s not normal. It’s an atypical symptom of the virus, so it’s worth checking out.

  1. Definition: A low grade fever is a body temperature that is slightly elevated above normal, usually between 100.4 and 102.2 degrees Fahrenheit (38-39 degrees Celsius).

  2. Causes: Low grade fevers can be caused by a variety of illnesses, including the common cold, flu, ear infections, urinary tract infections, and other viral or bacterial infections.

  3. Symptoms: In addition to an elevated body temperature, other symptoms of a low grade fever may include chills, fatigue, headache, muscle aches and pains, loss of appetite and general malaise.

  4. Treatment: Generally speaking low grade fevers do not require medical treatment unless they persist for more than three days or are accompanied by severe symptoms such as difficulty breathing or confusion. Over-the-counter medications such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen can help reduce the fever and make the patient more comfortable while their body fights off the infection causing it.

Low grade fever is when your body temperature is slightly elevated, usually between 99-100.5 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s not a huge cause for concern, but it can be a sign of an underlying issue. If you’re feeling under the weather and have a low grade fever, it’s best to get checked out by your doctor just in case. Don’t wait too long though - better safe than sorry!
