Sup, iam Cammie Fabre, Today will be the best!

Oh man, squash season is over before you know it! It seems like just yesterday we were picking out the perfect squash at the farmers market. But alas, all good things must come to an end and our beloved squash has expired. Don’t worry though, there’s always next year!

Do Squash Expire? [Solved]

Store your squash in the fridge between 41 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit with a humidity of 95%. That way, it’ll stay fresh for up to two weeks. But if you keep it at 41 degrees, you should use it within four days.

  1. Storage: Squash should be stored in a cool, dry place with temperatures between 45-50°F. It should also be kept away from direct sunlight and moisture.

  2. Shelf Life: Depending on the variety, squash can last anywhere from 1-3 months when stored properly.

  3. Signs of Spoilage: Squash will start to show signs of spoilage when it begins to soften and develop dark spots or mold on its skin.

  4. Preparation: Before consuming squash, it should be washed thoroughly with cold water and scrubbed with a vegetable brush to remove any dirt or bacteria that may have accumulated on its surface during storage.

  5. Cooking Tips: Squash can be cooked in a variety of ways including baking, steaming, boiling, roasting or sautéing in oil or butter for added flavor and texture.

Squash can expire pretty quickly, so it’s important to use it up before that happens. Otherwise, you’ll be left with a rotten mess! Yuck. I mean, nobody wants that. It’s best to eat it within a few days of buying it; otherwise, you might have to toss it out - and that’d be a real bummer.
