Sup, iam Victor Wyatt, I hope all goes well today.
Ah, the classic story of a baker’s wife who falls asleep and a prince who comes to her rescue! It’s been told time and time again, but it never gets old. You know the drill: the poor baker’s wife is exhausted from all her hard work in the kitchen, so she dozes off. Suddenly, a handsome prince appears out of nowhere and wakes her up with true love’s kiss. Cue the happily ever after! Who wouldn’t want to be whisked away by their own Prince Charming? It’s enough to make any girl swoon!
Did The Baker’S Wife Sleep With The Prince? [Solved]
Well, Sondheim told The New Yorker that in the movie version of the play, the Prince and Baker’s Wife don’t get it on - no “Any Moment” for them. Yeah, that song was cut out.
Baker: A person who bakes and sells bread, cakes, and other baked goods.
Wife: A married woman in relation to her spouse.
Sleep: The natural, periodic suspension of consciousness during which the powers of the body are restored.
Prince: The male ruler or head of a monarchy or noble family; a male member of a royal family other than the sovereign or heir apparent.
The prince was so exhausted that he could barely keep his eyes open, so his baker wife tucked him in and let him get some shut-eye. Ain’t that sweet?
