Greetings, iam Sharlene Collins, Have an awesome day!

Whoa! Removing half of someone’s brain? That sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, but it actually happened to Carson. After suffering from seizures that couldn’t be controlled with medication, doctors decided to remove half of his brain in an effort to stop the seizures. It was a risky move, but it worked! Carson is now seizure-free and living life to the fullest. Amazingly, he hasn’t experienced any major side effects from having half his brain removed. Talk about resilience!

  1. Hemispherectomy: A hemispherectomy is a surgical procedure in which one half of the brain is removed. This procedure is typically used to treat severe seizures that cannot be controlled with medication or other treatments.

  2. Brain Mapping: Before the surgery, doctors will use brain mapping techniques to identify which areas of the brain are causing seizures and determine if a hemispherectomy is necessary.

  3. Recovery: After the surgery, patients may experience some physical and cognitive changes as they adjust to life without half of their brain. Rehabilitation therapy can help patients learn how to cope with these changes and adapt their lifestyle accordingly.

  4. Risks: As with any major surgery, there are risks associated with a hemispherectomy including infection, stroke, bleeding, and even death in rare cases.

Carson had half of his brain removed! It’s pretty crazy, but it was necessary for his health. He’s doing alright now, thank goodness. I mean, can you imagine? Having half your brain taken out? Yikes! But he’s a real trooper and he’s been handling it like a champ. He’ll be back to normal in no time.
