Can I Pray 5 Rakat Witr? [Solved]

Well, if you’re an Islamic believer, you gotta know about Witr. It’s the night prayer that comes after Isha or before Fajr. It’s a bit different ‘cause it has an odd number of raka’at - ya gotta pray in pairs with the last one on its own. So, you can do as little as one raka’ah and up to eleven. Got it?

  1. Number of Rakats: The Witr prayer consists of three rakats.

  2. Timing: Witr is performed after Isha prayer and before Fajr prayer.

  3. Recitation: During each rakat, the surah al-Fatiha and another surah should be recited in a loud voice, followed by a period of silent contemplation (tahajjud).

  4. Posture: During Witr, the worshipper should stand upright with hands raised to the ears during recitation and then bow down in ruku for a few seconds before standing up again for the next rakat.

  5. Tasbih: After each rakat, tasbih (glorification) should be said three times while raising both hands to the ears and then lowering them back down to one’s sides.

  6. Duaa: After completing all three rakats, one should make duaa (supplication) for whatever they wish from Allah SWT while sitting in qiyam position with hands raised towards heaven until they are finished making their supplications or until they feel sleepy or tired enough to go to sleep without making any more supplications

Praying rakat witr is an important part of Islamic prayer. It’s a three-part prayer that’s usually done after the Isha prayer. It’s a way to show your devotion to Allah and ask for His blessings. So, don’t forget to do it - it’ll make you feel closer to Him!
