Well, why the fuss? It’s all down to the leap second. Basically, timekeepers have to tweak their super-accurate clocks so they match up with how fast the earth is spinning - which is affected by the sun and moon’s gravitational pull. Most of us probably won’t even notice it though - out of 7.25 billion people, not many will be clued up on it!
