Well, it wasn’t a walk in the park for Alborosie. He was the first white artist to be distributed by Bob Marley’s label, Tuff Gong. But he worked hard and this summer he released his third album. He says it took a lot of effort to be accepted by the Jamaican music community, but he made it happen!
Steel Pulse: Founded in 1975, Steel Pulse is a British reggae band from Birmingham, England. They are known for their socially conscious lyrics and their fusion of traditional reggae with elements of jazz, funk and soul.
Matisyahu: Matisyahu is an American Hasidic Jewish reggae artist from New York City. He is best known for his 2005 hit single “King Without a Crown” which was featured on his debut album Shake Off the Dust…Arise.
UB40: UB40 is a British reggae band formed in 1978 in Birmingham, England by Ali Campbell, Robin Campbell and Brian Travers. They are best known for their hits “Red Red Wine” and “Can’t Help Falling In Love” which were both released in 1983 on their album Labour of Love.
